Charity Christmas Card Designer

Charity Christmas Card Designer

06 September 2024

As an illustrator that tends to specialise in seasonal type illustrations, I’m often asked if I’ll donate my time to design a festive card. It’s always an honor to be asked – and occasionally (time permitting) I’m able to say yes.

Each year, I take on at least one charity Christmas card project (when asked) and I supply my design service free of charge.

Creating greetings cards for others is always a fun experience - especially the final 'reveal' after having discussed ideas, characters and settings.

There are however a couple of points I’d kindly ask you consider prior to asking.

1)    You are a well-known, established and registered charity

2)    You provide me with good notice – ideally I like to work at least 3-6 months ahead of any deadline. In a perfect scenario, I like to be working on a Christmas design during the festive period for release the following Christmas time. But you can always contact me if you need a quick turnaround as I may be in between projects.

3)    I prefer to work with animal charities – examples Redwings, RSPB, Dog’s Trust, etc. This is because my style lends itself better illustrations of animals and anthropomorphic designs.

4)    In return for my donation, I ask that my details be printed on the back of the cards – and a few cards are supplied to me for my portfolio.

5)    And to confirm, I provide an edited file of the image to be used. I don’t offer any printing facilities.

So, if you’re reading this, and work for a charity that is looking for someone who can design a Christmas, autumn or winter greetings card for charity, then feel free to contact me and see if I’m available. I'd love to work with you, and help raise money for your charity.
